From a single workshop to a regional group

The group’s foundation was built on the strength of service, repair and maintenance of internal-combustion engines for the world’s key equipment manufacturers. Founded in 1975, Sookhai’s Diesel Service Limited grew to become a leading service provider for diesel vehicles and offshore equipment, serving large, medium and small companies — both State and private. From a single workshop, the group expanded into equipment rental, offshore oil & gas services, international procurement and government-certified vehicle inspection — always striving to keep standards high while helping clients operate as cost-efficiently as possible, never compromising on quality.

Milestones

• 1975 — SDS founded on service/repair/maintenance of internal-combustion engines
• 1980s — Entered equipment rental under SDS (lighting towers, generators, compressors)
• 2009 — Introduced to Repsol’s T&T operations, beginning the offshore track record
• 2010 — Established Diesel Power, Barbados; first complete Bosch diesel service in Barbados; engaged on TSP platform engine-maintenance-management
• Miami — DI Engineering established for OEM parts logistics to the Caribbean branches
• 2017 — SERSL officially established for offshore contract + land-based services
• Today — Servicing Perenco across Teak, Samaan and Poui; VTS #001; Bosch-certified; STOW certified; 50 years
